Job Description:
Stellus is seeking an experienced fundraising professional to join our Investor Relations (“IR”) team. This candidate will lead all business development and fundraising efforts with institutional investors including investor targeting and outreach; managing investor due diligence/closing process; managing and growing consultant relationships; playing a leadership role in new product development; and managing a team of IR professionals in all aspects of fundraising and business development.
This employee will be a key member of Stellus’ management team and will be integrated into overall capital formation efforts, including developing capital-formation strategies in the institutional investor universe and playing an integral role in new product/structure development.
Stellus recently signed a definitive agreement to join Ridgepost Capital (“RPC”; NYSE: RPC) and the transaction is expected to close mid-year 2026. RPC is a leading private markets solutions provider with over $43 billion in assets under management as of December 31, 2025. Primary Roles & Responsibilities:
- Drive institutional capital formation by sourcing and converting new LP relationships while deepening and expanding commitments from the existing investor base.
- Lead the IR team across all phases of institutional investor engagement, from initial outreach and due diligence through final closing.
- Spearhead strategic planning for new Fund launches (including strategic accounts and SMAs), production of presentation materials, private placement memoranda, and managing investor due diligence.
- Increase investor recognition of Stellus with the autonomy to shape brand positioning, deepen institutional credibility, and build out marketing and content initiatives that meaningfully differentiate the firm in the private credit landscape.
Job Requirements:
Stellus seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, have sound judgment, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong analytical and time management skills, the successful candidate must have:
- A distinguished track record of capital formation within alternative assets, built through progressively senior roles culminating in demonstrated recent success raising institutional capital for direct lending or private credit strategies with institutional investors.
- Proven ability of initiating, building, converting, and maintaining high-quality, institutional LP relationships at senior levels with public and private pensions, sovereign wealth funds; insurance companies; fund-of-funds and consultants; experience with RIAs, family offices, and high net worth investors a plus.
- Deep understanding of all aspects of lower and middle market direct lending, including investment vehicles, structures and terms, market participants and competitive dynamics, market segments, and the investor and consultant universe.
- Experience managing junior IR professionals to drive origination, due diligence and closing targets.
