Kettle Loader

Stello Foods, Inc is a specialty food manufacturing company. We are currently looking to hire a full time entry-level assistant kettle loader. The ideal candidate would be a self sufficient, reliable, hard working person who can manage responsibilities and is very detail oriented.

The Kettle Cook is responsible to prepare and cook a variety products per recipe guidelines. The Kettle Cook will follow all company policies with regards to Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Food Safety and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards.

Job Duties Include:

• Set up, operate, and tend equipment that mixes and cooks ingredients in the manufacturing of food products, according to formulas or recipes.
• Verify correct ingredients and measure or weigh ingredients, using English measures.
• Scoop/ fill products into kettle and place designated ingredients into kettle
• Follow recipes to produce food products of specified flavor, texture, clarity,bouquet, or color.
• Fill processing or cooking equipment, such as kettles, high shear mixers, sizereduction equipment, etc. with ingredients.
• Clean and sterilize vats and factory processing areas.
• Record production and test data for each food product batch, such as theingredients used, temperature, test results, and time cycles.
• Ensure proper communication with fellow batchers, machine operators andpreparation employees.Job Requirements Include:
• High attention to detail
• Follow company GMP's, SSOP's, HACCP programs
• Follow Supervisor/ Lead instructions
• Must be able to work independently and also in a team
• Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 to 75 lbs.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours/day
• Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.
• Basic proficiency in addition, subtraction. Understands temperature and weightmeasures.
• MUST be able to work in the heat/steam, do manual labor and work in coldenvironment.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work
• A well-organized and self-directed individual who is able to work with minimalamount of supervision
• Previous cooking or batch making experience is a plus
• Food manufacturing experience a plus
• Proper setup of the cooking equipment at the beginning of shift to ensure safe andefficient working order
• Understands and adheres to the Company Allergen Management Policy and other company policies pertaining to the Kettle Operations

Approximate work hours are from 4am – early afternoon, Monday through Friday. If you are a dependable hardworking individual apply on-line or in person at Stello Foods MAIN OFFICE at 551 E. Mahoning St. behind the new post office between 9am – 4pm.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.50 - $15.00 per hour
