Qualifications:
We are looking for a software engineer with a passion for problem solving to join our team and help design, build, and support our enterprise financial data and modeling ecosystem. We build solutions on the AWS cloud platform with integrations into Enterprise grade systems that enable our actuarial and finance community. The team works in an Agile environment, heavily utilizing DevOps practices. Associate's or bachelor's degree, preference in a computer science, technology, engineering or math-related field or equivalent experience
Ability to obtain certification(s) in an IT related field is a plus
Basic knowledge of insurance and financial services products preferred
Basic planning, organizational, problem-solving, analytical, decision-making and communication skills required
Proficiency with database applications, knowledge of mainframe, distributed and/or web programming language
Excellent time management skills preferred
Must be able to maintain a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality
Must have the desire and ability to learn new technology and continuously grow
Ability to work on cross-functional teams and collaborate with both IT and non-IT partners
Additional preferred technical experience/skills:
Experience with AWS cloud platform e.g. AWS CDK, DynamoDB, Lambda, Glue
Exposure to full stack web development e.g. JS/Typescript/React/Next.js
Version control tooling (Git/GitHub actions)
Ability to write SQL queries and interpret data models
Traditional and NOSQL data stores such as S3
Familiarity with DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines, test-driven development, etc.
Strong written and verbal communication

Responsibilities:
Design and implement reliable and efficient data-pipelines and web applications, and analytic solutions in AWS.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines that test and deploy software, data, and infrastructure artifacts across managed environments.
Integrate data from a variety of systems into refined data products available to the rest of the enterprise.
Collaborate with highly skilled and motivated product-focused individuals.
Work directly with financial stakeholders to optimize solutions and architect new ones to meet functional and non-functional requirements.
Experiment with new technologies and practices to find creative solutions to complex problems.
Work with partners and solutions across a global community.
Contribute to a large cloud community across Principal and potentially outside
AWS certifications aligned to various technology roles
