What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shift Leader position at Stellina Pizzeria - Union Market?
Stellina Pizzeria is looking for Shift Leader to join our Union Market location. We are looking for an experienced, passionate hospitality professional to provide leadership support to the Front of House team and to provide top-notch hospitality to both our guests and our community.
The ideal candidate works well in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and is quick on their feet while working effectively under pressure. A passion for creating a fun and rewarding work environment for our employees is a must!
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overseeing the floor during service; ensuring the team stays on task and delegating assignments as needed.
- Ensure guest satisfaction; interacting with guests and engaging in service recovery when issues arise.
- Ensure all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service.
- Train new hires in coordination with the management team andensure the whole team maintains a high level of service at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Follow guidance and direction of General Manager to maintain a cohesive and aligned partnership.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year of restaurant shift-lead / supervisory experience in a fast-casual, or upscale-casual restaurant
- Candidate must have well developed leadership skills, with experience engaging in the service recovery process
- Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment while effectively delegating tasks
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to lift / carry items up to 40 lbs. and push / pull items up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to walk/stand for extended periods of time.
