Title: Business Analyst - Brokerage/Trading & Unified Communications

Location: Chicago IL 3 days Onsite, 2 days remote

Description: Project Overview:
To effectively support Unified Communications operations, this role must align with the working hours of key stakeholders and business partners. The majority of work requests, coordination, and verification of activities occurs during U.S. business hours. A U.S.-based resource ensures timely execution, real-time collaboration, and operational continuity without delays caused by time zone misalignment. ***'s Global Brokerage is looking for a Business Analyst to join its team. This individual as part of an Agile development team, will be responsible for business analysis, requirements, design of custom developed applications as well as vendor management assuring that all business and technical requirements are being met.

Verification and Validation Requirements
oWork outputs must be validated and approved during U.S. business hours.
oThese activities cannot be effectively completed during APAC hours due to lack of stakeholder availability.

Knowledge/Skills
Agile Methodology
Familiarity with financial market/instrument/Trade lifecycle

Knowledge of the following would present a significant asset:
1. Transaction processing, asset categories and related FIX messaging
2. Knowledge of the top Order Management Systems(Flextrade, Fidessa, etc)
3. Brokerage Front and Back Office specific functionality and processes
Knowledge PCF is an added advantage
Knowledge of Python 2.7 , Oracle, SQL Server
JIRA for defect and backlog management.

Experience
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
Overall 10 Years of Industry experience in IT.
Experience in agile development methodology.
Proven ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals.

Establish Financial Planning, Cost Model & Quotes
Identify External Dependenices & Cross Functional Team Dependencies
Coordinate With External Dependencies & Cross Functional Teams
Create Test Plan, Communication and Coordinate Internal/BU Testing
Establish Training Material & Presentations
Finalize Operational & Procedural Documentation
Control Standards & Governance
Communicate the Day 2 Support Model
Define Personas of All Partners Consuming Services

Additional Duties:
Communicate status (written and verbal) to relevant stake holder as required.
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and at least six, typically eight or more years related experience as
a project team member of which at least two years have been in a leadership position, or an equivalent combination of
education and work experience
Proven know-how and in depth experience in Brokerage/Trading Front and Back Office Fundamentals.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are required
Ability to work in a team as well as independently.
Willingness to learn in a fast paced environment
Technical skills focusing on SQL queries, XML, FIX and SWIFT message parsing, Agile, JIRA
Serve as the primary liaison between the business, its technology vendors, and the development team
Evaluate opportunities to implement technological enhancements to improve the efficiency of the business
Develop recommendations for vended versus in-house developed solutions
Provide guidance on technological solutions for new product offerings
Interface with technology development teams both on-shore and offshore to design solutions to meet
the needs of the business
Advocate for business support as new technological solutions are being developed
Troubleshoot support issues with vendors and the in-house support team as needed
Complete the necessary risk management oversight of all vended applications
