Stellar Works, a globally recognized leader in furniture manufacturing, is looking to hire an experienced Director of Finance to oversee all finance functions of the US and European entities. You will join the company’s growing team based in New York. You'll be responsible for leading finance and accounting, as well as managing a finance team with operational responsibilities. You'll have ownership over all software and ERP decisions, as well as implementation, workflow and collaboration with sales and management to create a finely tuned process.
Role & Responsibilities
- Ownership of financial close and reporting cycles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
- Maximizes return, and limits risk, by managing cash and payables.
- Prepares budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans.
- Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Partner with other departments to drive process and systematic improvements
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience as a Controller
- Manufacturing accounting experience a plus
- Experience with managing foreign entities is a plus
- Experience managing a small team
The role is full-time, based in the company’s Tribeca showroom and office. Candidates should retain flexibility in their schedule in order to communicate with the Europe and Asia teams.
