We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Professional Engineer to join a leading team in Auburn, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in steel design, drafting, and modeling, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, estimators, and detailers.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Design and size structural steel members and connections
- Develop models and drawings using Revit
- Review shop drawings, erection plans, and crane plans
- Prepare engineering spreadsheets, calculation packages, and drawing sets
- Conduct occasional site or fabrication shop visits to resolve technical issues
- Contribute to and learn structural steel cost estimating to support cost-efficient design
📘 Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering
- Previous relevant experience
- Active PE or SE license
- Familiarity with building codes (IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, etc.)
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel; experience with Revit and Bluebeam is a plus
