Application Engineer

Applications Engineer | East Peoria, IL

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Applications Engineer to manage and interpret project RFQs, review specifications and drawings, and prepare accurate project proposals. You will work closely with sales and engineering teams, providing technical expertise, creating electrical documentation, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

What You’ll Do:

• Review specifications and drawings to determine materials, labor, and testing requirements
• Prepare project pricing and detailed proposals
• Create electrical drawings and documentation
• Support sales teams with technical expertise and presentations
• Ensure compliance with codes and standards (UL, NEC, OSHA, etc.)
• Collaborate with mechanical/engineering teams on switchgear, control panels, and system integration

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• Experience in electrical power generation or industrial control systems
• Knowledge of UL certifications and switchgear/control panel design
• Proficient with ERP software, Microsoft Office, and electrical design tools
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Additional Info:

• Office-based, hybrid may be considered
• Minimal travel required
