Director of Operations

Stellar is a Missouri cannabis brand focused on high-quality, solventless products and building a company that can scale without losing its identity. As we continue to grow our product portfolio, retail presence, and production partnerships, we are looking for a Director of Operations to take ownership of the day-to-day operational side of the business.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who can create structure, solve problems quickly, and make sure the business executes.

The Director of Operations will oversee Stellar's day-to-day operations and serve as the primary link between production, inventory, sales, fulfillment, and management.

The right person will be highly organized, comfortable working in the regulated cannabis industry, and capable of building processes while simultaneously managing the realities of a growing company.

• Oversee day-to-day operations across Stellar's product lines and business activities.
• Coordinate production schedules with manufacturing partners to ensure products are produced on time and inventory remains available.
• Manage inventory levels, product forecasting, purchasing, and replenishment.
• Coordinate order fulfillment and distribution to retail partners throughout Missouri.
• Work closely with the sales team to align inventory and production with customer demand.
• Maintain operational reporting covering inventory, production, sales needs, costs, and upcoming priorities.
• Develop and implement SOPs and internal systems that improve efficiency and accountability.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and proactively solve problems before they impact customers or revenue.
• Coordinate product launches, packaging, materials, testing, and other operational requirements.
• Help manage vendor and manufacturing relationships, including pricing, timelines, and performance.
• Maintain strong organization and documentation within Missouri's regulated cannabis environment.
• Work directly with ownership and leadership on budgeting, forecasting, growth initiatives, and strategic priorities.
• Build operational infrastructure capable of supporting Stellar as the company expands.

• Strong operations, supply chain, manufacturing, CPG, or cannabis experience.
• Cannabis industry experience strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, vendors, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of inventory management and production planning.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment where processes are still being built.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
• Able to communicate effectively with ownership, sales teams, production partners, vendors, and retail customers.
• Comfortable taking ownership of problems and driving them through resolution.
• Experience building SOPs, workflows, reporting systems, and operational processes.
• Working knowledge of Missouri cannabis regulations and Metrc is a plus.

We are not looking for someone who simply manages an existing system. We want someone who can help build the system.

The ideal candidate sees what needs to be done, creates a plan, and executes without needing constant direction. They understand that in a growing company, responsibilities will evolve and occasionally fall outside of a traditional job description.

This person should bring organization and accountability to the business while still being comfortable operating with the speed and flexibility of an entrepreneurial company.
