Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-driven Sanitation Supervisor to lead our sanitation team in maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant food manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will ensure all sanitation procedures meet or exceed regulatory requirements, company standards, and customer expectations, while supervising and developing sanitation personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily sanitation activities for all production areas, equipment, and facilities.
• Lead, train, and evaluate sanitation team members to ensure adherence to GMPs, SSOPs, and safety protocols.
• Assist in developing and implementing a Master Sanitation Schedule
• Monitor and enforce compliance with SQF, FDA, OSHA, and company sanitation standards.
• Conduct routine inspections and audits to verify cleaning effectiveness and documentation accuracy.
• Maintain and update sanitation logs, chemical usage records, and inspection reports.
• Collaborate with QA, Production, and Maintenance teams to resolve sanitation-related issues.
• Manage inventory and proper usage of sanitation supplies and chemicals.
• Support the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in investigation and corrective action planning for sanitation-related non-conformances.
• Assist Quality Control in implementing environmental cleaning necessary as part of Environmental Monitoring Program.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3 years of experience in food manufacturing sanitation; 1 year in a supervisory role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of sanitation processes, food safety regulations (GMP, HACCP, FSMA), and chemical handling.
• Ability to read and interpret safety data sheets (SDS) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Effective leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
• Certification in HACCP, PCQI, or SQF is a plus.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

· Works in an Office inside a Warehouse production environment

· May be exposed to Noise occasionally.

· Works near moving mechanical parts occasionally.

· Ability to lift/carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.

· Ability to work with and around food allergens.

· Uses telephone, PC and copiers and other office equipment frequently.
