What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatric Dental Assistant position at Stellar Smiles Pediatric Dentistry?
Schedule:
We are looking for a full time assistant to work Monday - Thursday.
Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures
- Take digital dental x-rays using a hand held x-ray machine
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records
- Perform dental charting and documentation using electronic medical records (EMR)
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, dentists, and other team members
- Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation and record keeping
- Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and equipment
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records
- Ability to perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
