Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using various cleaning tools such as floor buffers and mops.
- Handle chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents or health hazards.
- Operate cleaning equipment including vacuums, floor buffers, and scrubbers to maintain floors and surfaces in top condition.
- Conduct custodial tasks such as trash removal, sanitation of restrooms, dusting, window cleaning, and surface disinfecting.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks like minor repairs or reporting larger issues to the appropriate team members.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during heavy lifting or manual handling activities to prevent injuries.
- Support industrial or commercial cleaning projects by adhering to established procedures for chemical handling safety and sanitation standards.
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning practices.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers and other custodial tools.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely while following all chemical handling safety procedures.
- Experience with manual handling and heavy lifting using safe lifting practices.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to sanitation and safety standards.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff or clients when needed.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance and basic repair skills is a plus.
