Job Details:
- This role serves as the primary IT liaison and systems analyst supporting HRIS, Payroll, Benefits, and related downstream vendor integrations.
- The position partners closely with Payroll, HR, Benefits, IT, and external vendors to ensure the stability, accuracy, and integrity of critical HR/Payroll systems, with a heavy emphasis on ADP configuration, integrations, data movement, reporting, and access/security troubleshooting.
- The role requires deep functional and technical expertise, strong cross-functional communication, and hands-on ownership of complex system processes and data flows across Workday, ADP, and vendor platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Primary HR/Payroll IT Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for IT-related questions and issue resolution across HRIS, Payroll, and Benefits, including coordination with IT resources and downstream vendors (e.g., Schwab, BSwift).
- Provide ongoing troubleshooting and resolution of issues involving SSO, ADP access, downstream vendor access, and system configurations.
- Partner with functional leads including Payroll, HRIS, and Benefits, taking direction from business leaders.
Interim IT Business Partner (HR & Payroll)
- Provide interim HR/Payroll IT Business Partner coverage, temporarily assuming responsibilities previously owned by the IT Business Partner (Balaji) during his transition to Keenova.
- Act as the central point of coordination between HR/Payroll and IT by managing the enhancement pipeline (intake requirements estimation delivery), communicating statrisks, and driving decisions in partnership with business owners.
Systems & Integration Ownership
- Maintain end-to-end responsibility for ADP configuration, integrations, data movement, and related vendor interfaces.
- Lead Workday ADP integration changes, including:
o Requirements gathering
o Configuration and mapping updates
o Testing
o Deployment
- Own HR/Payroll technology change delivery practices: create requirements and interface specifications, coordinate UAT, produce release communications, and maintain runbooks/SOPs for repeatable processes.
- Ensure accuracy, traceability, and auditability of all inbound/outbound data files, including reconciliation and exception handling.
Vendor & Contractor Coordination
- Serve as the primary liaison for external vendors supporting HR/Payroll technology.
- Act as the central point of contact for Cognizant contractor teams, ensuring clarity of tasks, priorities, and deadlines.
- Provide operational coverage after Cognizant s support window closes (noon ET through end of business).
Reporting, Analytics & Data Management
- Build, enhance, and maintain complex Payroll and HRIS reporting, including:
- Quarterly Gross-to-Net W2 reporting for ~1,700 employees.
- Updates to ADP reports to support system changes, union requirements, compliance needs, and vendor specifications.
- Support Finance by adding and maintaining Direct/Indirect labor classifications in employee profiles to improve GL and financial reporting.
Benefits & Open Enrolment Support
- Develop, test, validate, and deliver Benefits reporting in partnership with internal teams and thirdparty vendors.
- Support Open Enrolment activities, including:
- Vendor coordination
- File updates
- Access/security support
- Troubleshooting downstream impacts
- Manage 401(k) configuration changes, macro development, testing, and deployment; coordinate with stakeholders and vendors to implement updates with minimal payroll impact.
Daily Payroll Operational Support
- Provide daily operational coverage for Payroll systems, including:
- Troubleshooting Workday ADP sync issues
- Managing and pushing changes / data updates
- Supporting time-sensitive payroll cycles
- Ensure data accuracy and timely resolution of issues outside vendor support hours.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience supporting Payroll, HRIS, and Benefits systems, preferably with ADP and Workday.
- Strong understanding of HR/Payroll data structures, integrations, and vendor ecosystem dependencies.
- Proven ability to manage complex reporting, audits, and data reconciliation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner across HR, Payroll, IT, and external vendors.
- Experience coordinating work across internal/external technical teams.
