Job Title: Data Governance AnalystJob Location: NYC, NY (Hybrid)Interview: VirtualJob Duration: 6 Months We are seeking a Data Governance and Data Quality Analyst with 2-3 years of experience to support data quality operations, governance standards, and cross-functional collaboration between business and technology teams. This role focuses on building and executing data quality rules, maintaining governance artifacts, and ensuring accurate, well-managed data across the organization.Key Responsibilities:· Build and run daily data quality (DQ) rules, reconciliations, and monitoring routines; automate where possible.· Troubleshoot data issues using SQL and partner with business and IT teams to define rules and resolve breaks.· Track and report daily data quality metrics; build and maintain Power BI dashboards for management.· Maintain data governance documentation, including data dictionaries, glossaries, and catalogs.· Support governance standards, policies, and data lineage initiatives.· Act as a liaison between technical and business teams, contributing governance insight to project backlogs and global data initiatives.Required Skills:· 2-3 years in Data Governance or Data Quality.· Strong understanding of data governance concepts (DQ rules, cataloging, metadata).· Power BI proficiency and strong Excel/data analysis capabilities.· SQL for issue diagnosis and troubleshooting.· Cross-functional communication and stakeholder collaboration.Preferred Skills:· Experience with Ataccama or similar data governance tools.· Familiarity with Python and/or R.· Experience in Microsoft Azure environments.· Insurance industry background (preferred but not required).· Experience with SharePoint, Jira, and Confluence.
