Position Overview
We’re hiring a skilled and reliable Garage Door Technician to handle installation, service, and repair of residential garage doors and openers. This is a hands-on, field-based position where customer service and quality work matter. You’ll be working directly with homeowners and representing the Stellar brand on every call.
What You’ll Do
- Install and service residential garage doors, openers, and related components
- Diagnose and repair issues with doors, tracks, springs, motors, cables, and sensors
- Conduct safety checks and ensure all installations and repairs meet industry standards
- Educate homeowners on maintenance and operation of their garage door systems
- Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and inventory
- Provide excellent customer service and build trust on every job
- Complete all job documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Work independently in the field and communicate effectively with the team
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a Garage Door Technician preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable using hand and power tools, ladders, and working at heights
- Friendly and professional demeanor with strong communication skills
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical labor in a variety of weather conditions
- Self-motivated and dependable with strong attention to detail
