Role Description The Fire Alarm Sales role is a full-time, hybrid position based in the Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson-Midlands, South Carolina area, with flexibility for some work from home. The individual in this role will prospect and qualify new customers, follow up on leads, and conduct site visits to assess client fire alarm needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing proposals and quotations, presenting fire alarm and related life safety solutions, and managing the sales cycle from initial contact through closing and post-sale follow-up. The role involves collaborating with design, installation, and service teams to ensure accurate system specifications and smooth project delivery. The Fire Alarm Sales professional will maintain CRM records, meet sales targets, provide ongoing customer support, and stay current on industry standards, local codes, and company product offerings.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of fire safety and prevention, including Fire Prevention and Fire Safety.
- Understanding of life safety principles and systems, including Life Safety and Fire Protection.
- Experience with fire suppression technologies, including Fire Suppression Systems and related equipment.
- Minimum 5 years sales experience in fire alarm, security, or related life safety industries is preferred.
- Ability to interpret codes, regulations, and technical specifications related to fire and life safety systems.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with a focus on building long-term customer relationships.
- Comfort working in a hybrid environment, managing time between onsite client visits and remote work.
- Proficiency with CRM tools, basic office software, and documentation of sales activities.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally within the Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson-Midlands area.
- High school diploma required; technical training or a degree in a related field (e.g., fire science, engineering, business) is a plus.
