Hands on electronic equipment specialist that performs routine engineering work under the direct supervision of the Facilities Manager. Designs, builds, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs vacuum tube manufacturing & processing equipment. Performs routine testing and problem solving tasks relevant to the manufacture and design of equipment.

To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, the applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (e.g. Green Card holder), or a protected individual as defined by the International Traffic in Arm Regulations (ITAR).

Responsibilities
- Performs routine electronic, mechanical and technical assignments such as constructing, troubleshooting, calibrating, adjusting, testing, and maintaining tubes, microwave or manufacturing equipment or components used in the manufacturing of product.
- Participates in root‑cause analysis and problem‑solving activities, taking corrective action when appropriate.
- Resolves process problems on assigned equipment under the direction of the Facilities Manager.
- May assist in setting up a wide variety of test equipment to collect basic engineering data or test results.
- Uses complex test equipment such as waveform analyzers, computers, spectrum analyzers, digital storage scopes as well as standard test or diagnostic test equipment to correct and identify deficiencies.
- Provides technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to lower grade technicians and support personnel.
- Collaborates across multiple facility departments to complete engineering tasks and support production requirements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Associate’s Degree in an engineering or technical discipline.
- Five (5) years’ experience with maintenance and construction of electronic equipment.
- Demonstrated experience maintaining, calibrating, and repairing test and manufacturing equipment used in high voltage or high power applications.
