Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. Duties
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment
- Oversee menu planning and development, incorporating current culinary trends and customer preferences
- Manage food preparation processes to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards are met or exceeded
- Supervise food production activities across various departments such as banquet services, catering events, and fine dining outlets
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations to ensure a safe working environment
- Oversee inventory management including ordering, stock control, and minimizing waste through effective inventory control practices
- Coordinate shift management to ensure smooth operations during all service hours
- Monitor kitchen operations for efficiency and cost-effectiveness while maintaining high-quality standards
- Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and restrictions
- Train new staff members and provide ongoing coaching to develop culinary skills within the team
- Ensure excellent food handling practices are followed at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in fine dining establishments with strong banquet or catering background preferred
- Supervising experience in a high-volume kitchen environment required
- Extensive culinary experience with expertise in food production, food safety, and kitchen management
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Strong background in menu planning, food service management, and inventory control
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and food handling regulations
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to oversee multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Hospitality or restaurant management experience is highly desirable
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Culinary certifications or relevant hospitality training preferred
