Duties
- Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and privacy.
- Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and treatments.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens as directed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Administer medications or injections as authorized by physicians.
- Provide patient education on health conditions, medications, and follow-up care instructions.
- Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of medical instruments and examination rooms.
Skills
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required.
- Strong knowledge of clinical procedures including taking vital signs accurately.
