Responsibilities
The management of the Evening Shift of Community Services Department that includes incident reporting, rounding, scheduling, staffing and orientation.
- Manage the evening shift for Community Services.
- Manage the Community Services Department in the absence of the Manager and Supervisors.
- Help manage and ensure our community services staff are educated and compliant with customer service expectations
- In the absence of manager, process payroll and monitor time and attendance.
- Support Key scan process and procedures.
- Be part of the On-Call schedule.
- Back up to the manager for Payroll.
- Greets all visitors, vendors, staff and provides directions and/or assistance as indicated.
- Completes and documents community rounds. Is alert to wandering and /or confused residents, potential incidents, responds as needed. Is alert to residents and visitors in the building. Responds as needed to meet the needs of the community.
- Be a backup to the Manager for New Hire Orientation (once a month).
- Help cover manager and the supervisors when they are out.
- Provides support and thoroughly understands the following systems: Wander Guard, Avycom, Visaplex and the Fire Panel.
- Participates in fire drills and emergency preparedness drills. Has a thorough understanding of the emergency preparedness plan.
- Meets regularly with the Supervisors and Manager to ensure good communication, problem solving and effective operation of the department.
- Supports manager with appraisals and performance management.
- Directs traffic and enforces parking compliance.
- Other duties within scope of job functions as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 5 years of Security experience- preferred in a healthcare environment
- 2-4 years of Management Experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- Guard Card Preferred
