About our Cameron, Wisconsin Plant Operations
Our 60-acre manufacturing site in Cameron is home to a complete utility pole production operation (including peeling, framing, and treating) handled entirely on-site. The local Stella-Jones team of 35 manufacturing professionals ensures consistent quality through every stage. Position Overview
The Plant Operator (Treater) is responsible for performing operational work related to daily work instructions, inspection, grading, treatment and materials. The Treater operates the treating plant and water treatment system safely and proficiently.
We currently have both day shift (6 AM to 6 PM) and night shift (6 PM to 6 AM) opportunities available at the Cameron plant with a 2-2-3 schedule.
No experience is needed to be considered for these roles and there will be significant on-the-job training.

Key Duties:
- Operate and control systems by prescribed operating procedures, including, but not limited to the following major systems: Boiler and pressure vessels, vacuum and condensate recovery systems, preservative mix, transfer and storage systems, hazardous and solid waste processing and storage, charge transfer tables and emergency response equipment.
- Perform all duties of inspector, machine operator (2) and laborer positions as required.
- Operates all aspects of creosote treating at or above target production levels.
- Operates all aspects of the borate treating at or above target production levels.
- Operates all aspects of the water treatment system safely and proficiently.
- Operates all creosote unloading operations.
- Participates and contributes to company safety program.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
