SF Messenger Service Looking for Couriers (VEHICLES)

San Francisco based messenger service looking to one hire driver. This is not an independent contractor position. This is an hourly job. We operate Monday-Friday, 7am-6pm. We have all the equipment you need to do the job! (Vans, radios, phones)

• Bi weekly Pay-periods
• Equipment provided for you by us, including a cell phone
• 40 hours a week
• Alternative Work Week (10 hour days)
• 2 years experience preferred but not required

Your Responsibilities

• Arrive on time and be ready to hit the ground running
• Make efficient and timely deliveries to various locations in and out of SF city limits
• Pick up and deliver packages in a professional manner
• Drive our vehicle in accordance with traffic regulations and observe traffic lights, other vehicles and pedestrians on the street to avoid accidents. Must comply with the Federal

Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. (driver only)

• Comfortably communicate in a clear and concise manner with the office and fellow couriers on the road to ensure successful facilitation of delivery.

Role Qualifications

• You have a valid Driver's License and have a good driving record (driver only)
• You are comfortable driving a cargo van (driver only)
• You communicate effectively
• You have 2 years experience as a delivery driver, bonus if you were a messenger
• You have problem solving skills and able to troubleshoot on the spot
• Must be able to manage stressful situations well
• Work with a team of up to 8 people
• Can take constructive criticism well
• Not afraid to ask questions, or ask for help

Additional Physical Requirements

• Communicating with others to exchange information using both a phone and handheld radio
• Collecting correct delivery information upon completion
• Keeping an accurate manifest of all completed work
• Environmental Conditions: occasional exposure to rain or wind while driving or riding, you are working outside so must be prepared for all environmental conditions.
• Flexibility while on the job. Must be comfortable with changing plans mid route as needed

Physical Activities:

• Occasionally ascending or descending stairs, ramps and alike.
• Moving about to accomplish tasks and/or moving from one worksite to another.
• Adjusting or moving objects up to 40 pounds at a time in all directions
• Operating motor vehicles.
• Occasional sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing
• Able /willing to ride a bike 30-50 miles a day (cyclist only)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
