Summary/Objective
The Account Manager serves as a liaison between Steinwall and its customers. This position is responsible for receiving and entering customer purchase orders and forecasts into Steinwall’s ERP system, tracking orders through the system, and ensuring timely product delivery. The Account Manager builds and maintains strong customer relationships and communicates effectively with both internal teams and external customers to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
Essential Functions
- Enters purchase orders, sales forecasts, and stocking agreements into ERP system
- Communicates customer requests, requirements, and demand changes to the appropriate internal departments
- Monitors order progress and proactively communicates updates, delays, or changes to customers
- Initiates and monitors projects to ensure customers’ expectations are being met
- Initiates quotes for new projects or repricing events
- Manages accounts receivables by contacting customers when payments are past due
- Supports order prioritization by communicating customer needs to the production scheduler
- Serves as a strong advocate for the customer, ensuring high levels of satisfaction while building and maintaining positive, long-term relationships

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc. Collaboration in manufacturing and engineering areas may be necessary.
Physical Demands
The employee is frequently required to sit at a desk. The employee occasionally is required to stand or walk in the production areas. The employee may need to lift up to 10 lbs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position on 1st shift. Hours are flexible but Steinwall requires all office personnel to be in the office during the core hours of 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Depending on employee classification, the employee will work either a required 40 hours a week (non-exempt) or a recommended 45 hours a week (exempt).
Travel
This job may require minimal travel for customer visits.
Required Education and Experience
Associate degree or bachelor’s degree with emphasis in communications, business, or other related field, or 4-6 years customer service experience
Preferred Education and Experience
Previous EDI experience
Previous experience with an ERP system (IQMS a plus)

The salary range for this position is: $50,000 - $75,000. This range reflects the base salary for this position.
