We are seeking an experienced, full-time, Estate Planning and Probate Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. Responsibilities
- Assist with drafting client correspondence. and reviewing estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives.
- Manage probate case files from initiation through completion, including filing petitions, tracking deadlines, and coordinating with courts and beneficiaries.
- Utilize document management systems for efficient case file organization and billing processes.
- Perform data entry, document review, proofreading, transcription, and drafting of legal correspondence and pleadings.
- Coordinate with clients for interviews, gather necessary information for estate planning or probate proceedings, and maintain excellent phone etiquette.
- Support administrative functions including filing, calendaring deadlines, managing client communications, and providing executive administrative support as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a paralegal in estate planning or probate law preferred; familiarity with related practice areas such as family law, real estate law a plus.
- Strong knowledge of estate planning concepts including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advanced directives.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for interviewing clients and collaborating with attorneys and external parties.
- Strong proofreading, writing skills, and ability to review legal documents accurately.
- Administrative experience supporting law office operations including data entry, filing systems, document review, transcription tasks, and clerical responsibilities.
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
