Requirements
- Greet and check in patients in a courteous and professional manner.
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct calls appropriately.
- Schedule, confirm, and update patient appointments.
- Verify patient demographic and insurance information.
- Collect copays and process payments accurately.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with providers, clinical staff, and patients.
- Assist with patient forms, referrals, and general administrative tasks.
- Monitor reception and waiting areas to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Positive and team-oriented attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in busy situations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous medical office or customer service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is helpful.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems preferred.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard office equipment.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
- Fast-paced medical clinic setting
- Frequent interaction with patients, providers, and staff
- Primarily sedentary work with occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 20 pounds
