Job Summary
Stein's Inc is looking for a Purchaser to join our team. This role will be responsible for sourcing and managing supplier relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of products for resale by our company, and will be a key cornerstone in optimizing our supply chain operations and uphold quality standards. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and excels in contract management and procurement strategies.
Duties
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with organizational goals to identify the best suppliers and procurement channels.
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes using our internal company software.
- Collaborate with other company departments to determine appropriate stock levels to order
- Conduct root cause analysis on supply disruptions or quality issues to implement corrective actions swiftly.
- Maintain comprehensive supplier management records, evaluate supplier performance, and foster strong supplier relationships for continuous improvement.
- Monitor vendor and company pricing trends
- Oversee inventory control
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of procurement management principles including sourcing strategies, category management, and supply chain optimization.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis on supply issues to develop effective solutions quickly.
- Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain management, pricing strategies, and supplier relationship management.
- Knowledge of quality management systems to uphold product standards throughout the procurement process.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
