Delivery Driver

Job Overview
Stein's Inc seeking a dedicated and engaged Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations with a company box-truck across the Red River Valley area, while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a DOT compliant Health Card, a strong commitment to customer service, and the ability to handle heavy lifting (approx. 50lb containers up to 55 gallon drums) as needed.

Duties

• Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks and other commercial vehicles.
• Load and unload goods using equipment such as pallet jacks and manual handling techniques.
• Follow designated routes for deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and delivery confirmations.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
• Assist in warehouse operations when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and organization.

Skills

• Proficient in commercial driving with a valid driver's license.
• Experience with route driving and knowledge of local roadways is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills to interact positively with clients.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving of goods as required.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes is a plus.
• Experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles is advantageous.
• Knowledge of using pallet jacks and other material handling equipment is beneficial.

Other Requirements

• Drivers must have, or be willing and able to acquire, and DOT Health Card
• Drivers must be willing to acquire security clearance for entering local Military bases
• Drivers will be placed on a random drug and alcohol testing list
• Must pass pre-employment criminal/driving background checks and drug/alcohol screening
• Drivers must speak fluent English

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
