While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. It may be expected that the individual could be exposed to blood or other potentially infectious materials during the course of their duties. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud on occasion.

Are you interested in making a difference? We are seeking a Grounds I Worker with the following minimum qualifications to join our team!
- Successful experience or demonstrated commitment toward working with culturally and racially diverse students, families and communities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others, personally or through other means of communication (phone, email, and radio).
- Ability to work using ladders, scaffolding, mechanical lifts, and district vehicles. Ability to spend most the work-day standing, lifting, and walking. Ability to lift up to 60 pounds or more and move heavy materials using appropriate equipment.
- Current WISHA approved first aid certification.
- Ability to work effectively in an environment with frequent interruptions requiring the ability to concentrate and consistently produce accurate work while responding to interruptions and changing priorities.
- Proven ability to identify and resolve problems independently and in a timely manner.
- Strong decision making skills with sound and accurate judgement.
- Strong relationship building skills to work with other staff, community partners, and vendors.
- Ability to work with minimal direction and use sound judgement and decision making.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, work effectively under pressure, and remain flexible.
- Ability to meet and maintain punctuality and attendance expectations.
