Role Description The Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC(A), LCSW(A), LMFT) will provide individual counseling services using evidence-based therapeutic approaches to help clients manage emotions, thoughts, anxiety, and stress. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, developing and updating treatment plans, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and coordinating care with other providers as needed. The counselor will offer a safe, non-judgmental environment that honors client values and beliefs, while supporting clients in building coping skills and achieving therapeutic goals. This is a full-time or part-time, on-site role located in Indian Trail, NC, and Telehealth which may involve some evening hours to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Treatment Planning and Case Management to create, implement, and monitor individualized care plans.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of Mental Health and Psychology to accurately assess client needs and deliver evidence-based interventions.
• Candidates should possess skills in Relationship Counseling to support clients with interpersonal challenges, family dynamics, and communication patterns.
• Active or provisional licensure as LCMHC(A), LCSW(A), or LMFT in North Carolina, in good standing.
• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related mental health field.
• Strong ethical judgment, professional boundaries, and adherence to confidentiality and state regulatory requirements.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, including clear clinical documentation and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work independently in an outpatient setting while maintaining a client-centered, culturally responsive approach.
• Experience with evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, mindfulness-based interventions) is highly beneficial.
