Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the site Quality Team to analyze and evaluate current state work methods, procedures, controls, and documentation systems within manufacturing and business processes.
- Leads projects related to quality assurance, quality control, and/or quality improvement including project definition, selection, implementation, and reporting. Provides advice, compiles data, reviews trends, and estimates costs and results of improvement projects.
- Participate in root cause analysis with key stakeholders and implement corrective actions in response to nonconformance reports.
- Develop internal systems and tools to promote and monitor quality excellence for the products produced at the facility.
- Measure and scan material/parts under the direction of Quality Engineering.
- Document, create, evaluate, and maintain procedures and standard work instructions.
- Conduct tool and device calibrations which includes managing tools sent to third parties.
- Utilize the Steffes Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for recording data related to inspections, non-conformances, and tool/device calibrations.
- Develop and maintain production acceptance criteria.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in collaborative manner with customers, suppliers, co-workers, and management.
- Helps company meet its Strategic, Quality and Safety objectives.
- Other duties may be assigned.

- This position requires walking, sitting or standing to a significant degree.
- Must have the ability to lift 70 pounds from floor to waist, carry 50 pounds, and push and/or pull up to 100 pounds.
- Must have the ability to climb ladders and/or stairs.
- Stooping, crouching, kneeling and bending.
- Handling, feeling, and gripping would be required for some activities.
- Visual acuity is required to inspect work completed.
- This role may be subject to internal and external environmental conditions.
