What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility Worker position at Steffensmeier Welding & Manufacturing?
UTILITY WORKER NEEDED

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assemble finished products and the parts that go into them.
- Produce metal products according to customer or employer specifications.
- Read and interpret diagrams, sketches and blueprints to determine operations, required materials and timeframes for projects.
- Set up, operate and maintain equipment.
- Understand and implement personal and company safety measures.
- Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions.
- Position and clamp work pieces together or assemble them in jig or fixtures. Selects torch, torch tip, filler ford and flux, according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of material.
- Chips or grinds off excess weld, slag, and spatter.
- Cleans and/or de-greases parts.
- Be able to move raw material in and move finished products out.
- Ability to convert decimals into fractions and fractions into decimals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in welding and manufacturing
- Preferred experience with painting, programmable saws and brake press
- Ability to communicate and coordinate work across a variety of operations
HOURS:
First Shift Monday – Friday 7:00am to 4:00pm
PAY RATE:
Depending on Experience
