This is a hands on role to sort archived samples, handle, transport and store confidential consumer complaint samples per SOPs, maintaining chain of custody and temperature integrity between room temp and freezing conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, label, log, and sort archived complaint samples—treating all documentation and materials as strictly confidential.
- Re-arrange samples in approved bins, ensuring proper packaging and temperature control, from room temperature to freezing conditions.
- Securely store complaint samples in designated, access-controlled areas, and follow all procedures for sample disposition or return.
- Maintain chain-of-custody by accurately logging all sample movements in tracking systems and completing required paperwork.
- Comply with all PPE, biosafety, and data-privacy protocols to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
- Volume: ~50 samples per day (may vary).
- Collaboration: Minimal; mostly self-managed with occasional interaction with 1–2 team members and facility staff.
- Temperature Zones: ~50% of time in freezer storage areas.
- PPE: Provided by company (jackets, gloves). Contractor must wear closed-toe, non-slip shoes.
- System: LabLink for sample tracking and chain of custody.
- Training: Provided; prior LabLink experience preferred but not required.
- Lifting: Up to 50 lbs (daily, varies by sample bin weight).
- Exposure Risks: None (consumer complaint samples only).
- Measurement: Accuracy of sample tracking in LabLink; random audits for compliance.
- M-F, 9:00am-5:00pm, Central Time Zone
Details:
- Ability to follow SOPs precisely and consistently.
- Experience with Lablink is preferred but not required.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- Strict confidentiality and compliance with company policies.
- Hands-on experience with sample handling and reliable recordkeeping.
- Basic computer and data-entry skills.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, perform repetitive tasks, and work in refrigerated/freezer areas (e.g., -20°C if applicable).
- Safety and confidentiality training (provided if needed).
