Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Kansas City, MO, for an Assistant Director at Steeplechase Academy. The Assistant Director will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure compliance with educational standards, and support staff and students through leadership and mentorship. Responsibilities include curriculum implementation, teacher support, tracking student progress, maintaining a safe and orderly environment, coordinating with parents, and assisting with administrative and operational tasks. The Assistant Director will work closely with the leadership team to uphold and enhance the academy’s commitment to excellence in Montessori education.
Qualifications
- Experience in educational administration, school operations, and staff management
- Knowledge and application of Montessori teaching principles and curriculum
- Strong organizational, planning, and decision-making skills
- Effective communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills for collaboration with staff, parents, and students
- Proficiency in developing and implementing educational programs and student assessments
- Ability to maintain compliance with educational regulations and school policies
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Development, or a related field (Montessori certification preferred)
- Experience working in a Montessori or early education setting is a strong advantage
