Plasterer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Plasterer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying plaster to interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring smooth finishes and durable coatings that meet project specifications. Your expertise will contribute to the aesthetic appeal and structural integrity of various building projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity for hands-on work in diverse environments, from new constructions to restoration projects, with a focus on quality craftsmanship and safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers to ensure proper adhesion of plaster materials.
• Mix plastering compounds accurately using hand tools and power tools, following specified ratios and consistency requirements.
• Apply plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using trowels, hawks, floats, and spray equipment to achieve smooth, even finishes.
• Repair damaged surfaces by patching cracks, holes, or uneven areas with appropriate plastering techniques.
• Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and ensure precise application of materials.
• Operate heavy equipment and scaffolding safely to access high or hard-to-reach areas during plastering tasks.
• Collaborate with carpenters, masons, electricians, plumbers, and other tradespeople to coordinate work seamlessly on construction sites.
• Assist in the fabrication and installation of stucco, drywall, and other finishing components as needed.
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in plastering, stucco application, or related construction trades with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings relevant to construction projects.
• Skilled in using hand tools such as trowels, floats, hawks, as well as power tools including mixers and spray equipment.
• Knowledge of construction management principles and estimating techniques is a plus.
• Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and OSHA standards.
• Experience working with concrete forming, masonry, framing carpentry, roofing, caulking, trim carpentry, glass installation, cabinet installation or flooring installation is advantageous.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery safely on construction sites.
