Welder and Fabricator - Manufacturing

Responsibilities
• Fabricate structural steel from shop drawings and fabrication prints.
• Fit, tack, and weld structural members including wide flange beams, HSS tubing, channels, angles, and plate.
• Perform FCAW, GMAW, and SMAW welding in accordance with AWS D1.1 standards.
• Read and interpret structural drawings, weld symbols, and fabrication details.
• Operate fabrication equipment including saws, ironworkers, drills, mag drills, grinders, and overhead cranes.
• Verify dimensions and maintain quality throughout the fabrication process.
• Work closely with shop supervision to meet production schedules and deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 3 years of structural steel fabrication experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret structural steel fabrication drawings.
• Strong fitting and layout skills.
• Experience with FCAW and GMAW welding.
• Knowledge of AWS D1.1 structural welding requirements is preferred.
• Ability to safely operate shop equipment and overhead cranes.
• Must be dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Must be able to pass a 1” thick plate test using FCAW within 30 days of employment.
