This is a full-time, on-site role for a Foundry Supervisor located in Grand Rapids, MI. The Foundry Supervisor will oversee daily foundry operations, ensuring production schedules are met while maintaining safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include supervising foundry staff, coordinating workflow, troubleshooting equipment or process issues, inspecting materials, and implementing process improvements. The supervisor will also prioritize compliance with safety protocols and quality standards while tracking production metrics and reporting progress to management.
- Foundry experience, including knowledge of casting processes, material handling, and basic metallurgy
- Team leadership and personnel management skills, including the ability to train, supervise, and motivate staff
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities related to troubleshooting equipment or process issues
- Safety-conscious mindset with knowledge of workplace safety standards and regulations
- Attention to detail and quality assurance skills for inspecting products and maintaining production standards
- Experience with manufacturing operations or production metrics tracking is a plus
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree or certification in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field is a plus
