Position Overview:
We are seeking experienced Mechanical Conveyor Millwright to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair conveyor and material-handling systems in industrial and food-processing environments. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, precision alignment skills, and the ability to work safely in fast-paced production settings.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with mechanical conveyor systems, structural installation, and field service work, and understands the importance of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, assemble, and align conveyor systems including belt, roller, chain, and screw conveyors.
- Perform mechanical installation of drives, motors, gearboxes, bearings, and pulleys.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and layout plans.
- Perform precision alignment of shafts, sprockets, couplings, and drive systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical failures and perform root-cause analysis.
- Replace components such as bearings, belts, chains, and wear parts.
- Work with rigging equipment to safely move and position machinery.
- Support system start-up, testing, and commissioning. Maintain compliance with safety regulations and site policies.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Millwright or Mechanical Conveyor Installer.
- Strong knowledge of conveyor systems and material-handling equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
- Experience with mechanical alignment, rigging, and equipment installation.
- Ability to work at heights and in industrial environments. Strong understanding of jobsite safety practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in food processing or sanitary environments.
- Welding and fabrication experience (TIG preferred).
- Familiarity with stainless steel equipment installation.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification. Ability to travel for field installations (if applicable).
