Job Title: Shipping Associate
Location: Manufacturing Plant - Sheet Metal Fabrication, Machine Shop, Powder Coat
Reports to: Shipping Supervisor
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Shipping Clerk to join our team at our manufacturing plant. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for preparing, scheduling, and coordinating all outbound shipments of finished goods, ensuring they are delivered to customers on time and in accordance with their specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and prioritize all outgoing shipments to ensure that orders are shipped on time and in full.
- Ensure all shipments are properly packed, labeled, and documented.
- Coordinate with carriers and logistics partners to schedule shipments and ensure that all deliveries are made on time.
- Assist with the preparation of export documentation for international shipments.
- Conduct daily inventory checks to ensure that all orders are accurately shipped and delivered.
- Resolve any shipment-related issues and discrepancies.
- Apply Part Markings to parts when required
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Comply with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Crate building experience a plus
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in a shipping or logistics role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with shipping software and logistics management tools.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Experience with international shipping and export documentation is a plus.
- Great Attitude and Teamwork skills
