Biomedical Shipping & Logistics Associate

Company Description Steelgate Inc. is a privately held biomedical storage company based in Bradenton, Florida supporting clients in medical research and law firms engaged in product liability litigation.

Role Description This role supports the accurate, timely, and safe movement of materials into and out of our facility. This is a hands-on logistics role with a strong focus on shipment accuracy, documentation, traceability, and operational coordination. You will handle daily shipping and receiving activities, maintain accurate shipment records, complete chain-of-custody documentation and coordinate with internal teams, customers and third-party shippers(e.g., FedEx).

Qualifications

The ideal candidate combines practical shipping and receiving experience with strong organizational, communication, and data-management skills and is comfortable working in an environment where accuracy and reliability are essential.

• Experience in shipping and receiving, logistics, inventory operations, supply chain, or a related operational environment.
• Strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes and the importance of accuracy, documentation, and timely execution.
• Demonstrated attention to detail when reconciling physical materials with shipment documentation and electronic records.
• Experience with data entry, database systems, scanning systems, and maintaining accurate operational records.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to organize, reconcile, and analyze operational information.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requests and priorities simultaneously.
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with internal teams, senior staff, customers, and external shipping providers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and other standard Microsoft Office applications; knowledge of FedEx database a plus.
