Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support procurement processes, coordinate supply chain activities, and ensure timely acquisition of materials essential for manufacturing operations. Your efforts will contribute to streamlining operations, optimizing inventory levels, and fostering cross-functional collaboration across departments.
Responsibilities
1. Processing of BOL/MTR and Invoices in a timely manner.
2. Write purchase orders and allocation of materials.
3. Purchasing bolts for construction projects.
4. Inventory maintenance.
5. Become proficient in Receiving as a backup for Purchasing Manager.
6. Assist with the entry and cuttings on shop drawings as needed.
7. Assist with shop orders as needed.
8. Answer phones/process calls.
9. Assist plant manager and other duties as needed.
Skills
- Microsoft Office experience, common computer skills. Valid driver’s license
- A reliable, passionate and energetic approach to problem-solving and customer satisfaction.
- The ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment and have a team-first mentality.
