Job Summary
The Manager of Human Resources and Compliance oversees all Human Resource functions for Steele Canyon High School (“SCHS”), including but not limited to on-boarding and off-boarding employees, conducting employee investigations, compensation analysis, placement/assignment, training, evaluation, employment rights and liabilities, and managing the School’s benefits. The Manager of Human Resources and Compliance will plan, organize, control and direct the Human Resources program to assure the proper delivery of human resources services; develop, implement, administer and interpret policies, systems, processes and programs; educate and support others in their knowledge and understanding of Human Resources services and issues plan, organize and implement long-term and short-term projects and activities designed to develop and augment projects and services supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel. The Manager of Human Resources and Compliance reports to the CEO/Principal and/or Designee
Requirements / Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and or certification in HR-related field preferred. Master’s Degree in human resource management or business administration or related field highly preferred. - At least five (5) years’ experience working in human resources required, including experience with on-boarding and off-boarding employees, healthcare plans and enrollment, investigation of HR claims, and training of staff in HR matters. - Prior experience conducting employee investigations and disciplinary proceedings required. - Prior experience planning, implementing, on-boarding, and enrolling employees in healthcare benefits for an organization required. - Prior experience overseeing an organization’s HR department preferred. - Prior experience overseeing clerical staff (or other non-exempt staff) preferred. - Prior experience in a public school setting is highly desirable. - Priority given to those with prior experience working in a charter high school.
