Your tasks
As the Planning & Design Manager, you will support SteelcoBelimed customers throughout the project lifecycle with technical product and planning expertise on new construction and renovation projects. You will be responsible for instilling absolute customer confidence in the development and implementation of SteelcoBelimed’s proposed solution.
- Design and develop layouts of Sterile Processing and Operating Room environments with assistance from the Design Team to incorporate SteelcoBelimed equipment solutions
- Develop and maintain an expertise related to the Sterile Processing industry and SteelcoBelimed products and utilizes this expertise to support the Sales Team as primary technical consultant
- Utilize analytical planning tools to conduct customer/project specific utility sizing studies and equipment capacity analyses, ensuring the proposed equipment solution meets current/future customer needs
- Strategically employ 2D/3D models and workflow simulation to create and present solutions
- Monitor project deliverables, drawing and quote accuracy, timeliness, and completeness to ensure customer satisfaction
- Build and maintain relationships with architects, equipment planners, and engineering consultants; supporting these groups as an industry and product expert throughout project planning efforts
- Conduct educational product presentations to relevant healthcare audiences (customers, architects, equipment planners)
- Attend project and construction planning meetings to ensure SteelcoBelimed products are seamlessly incorporated into designs and installed properly
- Perform detailed, onsite department surveys (room measurements) in busy environments
- Participate in critical sales activities including presentations, RFP responses, and site visits
- Participate in territory sales reviews including projects analysis, lead and pipeline analysis, and win/loss analysis
- Prospect and pursue new construction projects at an early stage and striving to get SteelcoBelimed involved
- Interface with SteelcoBelimed US to promote process improvement and to relay critical knowledge learned in field activities
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture, or, 3 years of relevant healthcare industry experience
- Experience working in AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Excellent presentation skills and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional level of attention to detail and ability to effectively communicate deliverable schedule/priority to support teams
- Proven problem-solving ability and strong analytical comprehension to implement data-driven decisions
- Ability to read and understand architectural drawings from schematics to construction drawings
- Ability to travel up to 50% nationally during peak times (trips average 2-3 days) - primarily in the continental US
- Experience in design, construction and/or engineering
