Position Summary:
The Manager of Modular Compliance will play a critical role in ensuring all products and projects meet applicable state, local, and federal modular construction codes and regulatory requirements. This individual will serve as the internal subject matter expert on state-specific modular programs, approvals, and compliance pathways, partnering closely with engineering, operations, project management, and external regulatory agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the organization’s subject matter expert on modular compliance across multiple states, including plan approvals, inspections, and certification requirements
- Interpret and apply state-specific modular building codes, healthcare regulations, and applicable federal standards
- Partner with engineering, design, and operations teams to ensure compliance is embedded early in the design and manufacturing process
- Manage relationships with third-party inspection agencies, state modular programs, and regulatory authorities
- Oversee submission, tracking, and approval of plans, ensuring timelines align with project delivery schedules
- Develop and implement standardized compliance processes, documentation, and SOPs to support scalability
- Conduct internal audits and reviews to ensure ongoing compliance across projects and facilities
- Stay current on evolving regulations, particularly within healthcare, behavioral health, and secure facility environments
- Support business development and project teams by advising on jurisdictional requirements during the preconstruction phase
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in modular construction, prefabrication, or related compliance/regulatory roles
- Strong working knowledge of state modular programs, building codes (IBC/IRC), and approval processes across multiple jurisdictions
- Experience working with third-party inspection agencies and state regulatory bodies
- Familiarity with healthcare, behavioral health, or secure/detention facility requirements is highly preferred
- Proven ability to build and implement processes in a growing or evolving organization
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and jurisdictions simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable guidance
Pay: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
