Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on various metals and alloys.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications for welding.
- Set up welding equipment and ensure it is properly maintained and operational.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and conformity to requirements.
- Collaborate with team members on projects and assist with troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Adhere to industry standards and safety regulations while performing welding tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent plus technical training or equal experience
- Minimum 6 months of welding experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to read and understand welding drawings
- Must be able to read, evaluate, and respond to product specifications and drawings and perform normal math calculations easily
- Must be detail, quality, and team-oriented
- Must be able to walk and stand throughout a ten (10) hour day
- Must be able to safely lift 50 pounds
- Must be a self-starter and continued self-motivator
- Demonstrate a high level of work ethic
