Zone Inspector
Location: Trenton, MI
Shift: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Pay: $20.25 - $25.00/hr (Based on Experience)

Steel Tool & Engineering is a growing aerospace manufacturer producing high-precision machined and fabricated components for the aerospace industry. We are looking for a detail-oriented Zone Inspector to help ensure quality throughout our manufacturing process.

What You'll Do
- Perform inspections throughout the production floor
- Verify products meet customer and engineering requirements
- Identify and contain quality issues before parts move to the next operation
- Conduct process and product audits
- Assist with calibration and gage management activities
- Train and support employees on proper gage usage
- Work with Team Leads and Quality Engineers to resolve quality concerns
- Support continuous improvement efforts that enhance product quality
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED
- Manufacturing, inspection, or quality experience preferred
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
- Knowledge of GD&T required
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to perform detailed visual inspections in a manufacturing environment
