About the role Picture your day beginning at a clean, organized workstation inside a shop that builds precision aerospace components for turbine engines. You review a print, check your tools, and move seamlessly between operating a press, bending sheet metal, setting up a saw cut, and executing an EDM program. You assemble parts, verify fit and alignment, and finish by inspecting every detail against exact specifications. What you’ll handle Run and care for presses to stamp, form, and shape metal parts to tight tolerances.Perform precise sheet metal fabrication—cutting, bending, and finishing to print.Set up and execute saw cutting to prepare materials for downstream operations.Operate EDM machining processes to produce intricate, precision features.Assemble components, ensuring correct fit, alignment, and quality throughout.Inspect completed parts to meet industry and customer specifications.Maintain a safe, organized workstation and follow all safety procedures. Skills and experience that set you up for success Hands-on background with press operations, sheet metal work, saw cutting, and EDM machining.Comfort reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.Strong attention to detail and quality in precision machining environments.Mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving on the production floor.Safety-first mindset and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.Team-oriented approach with the ability to collaborate across projects.Ability to read micrometers, gauges and calipers.Proficiencies: GD&T, Troubleshooting Skills, CNC Machine Installation. Physical capabilities Operate machinery to cut and shape steel materials.Comfort working around heavy machinery with proper PPE at all times.Lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly during the shift.Keep a clean, organized work area to support safety and quality.Work effectively with others and support a team environment.Work with sheet metal on a production line.Visually check material for defects as it moves through the line.Adapt to variations in tasks based on cross-training.
