Responsibilities
- Safely operate flatbed trucks (bed length up to 22'-6") and pickup trucks to deliver fabricated structural steel to designated sites.
- Follow planned routes efficiently, navigating traffic regulations and road safety standards at all times.
- Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries.
- Communicate professionally with clients and team members to confirm delivery details and resolve any issues promptly.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform routine inspections, and report any mechanical issues to ensure safety compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Prior experience in delivery driving and construction site logistics is preferred.
- Experience operating flatbed delivery trucks is required.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and properly strap down material on trucks.
- Knowledge of traffic regulations and DOT rules.
- Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally via mobile devices or in person.
