About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to lead and support a skilled team of millwrights and technicians in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipment at our Little Rock manufacturing facility.
This position requires strong mechanical expertise, leadership ability, and hands-on problem-solving skills to ensure maximum equipment uptime and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of millwrights and maintenance technicians on shift.
- Plan and assign daily maintenance activities, including preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Inspect equipment and ensure maintenance work is performed safely and effectively.
- Coordinate with production supervisors to minimize equipment downtime.
- Manage spare parts availability and communicate critical needs to planners.
- Participate in root cause analysis for mechanical breakdowns and suggest improvements.
- Support process improvement and equipment upgrade projects.
- Conduct toolbox meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Maintain records, drawings, and documentation related to equipment and maintenance activities.
- Utilize SAP or ERP systems for maintenance scheduling and reporting.
- Provide hands-on support during complex equipment repairs when required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering (required).
- 4–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a heavy manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven ability to lead a team and delegate work effectively.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.
- Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems for maintenance tracking.
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations, Lockout/Tagout, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and organizational abilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours or extended shifts based on operational needs.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Exposure to loud machinery and manufacturing conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift moderate weights during maintenance work.
- Must adhere to all safety and PPE requirements.
