Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inspecting stainless steel products, a deep understanding of industry-specific requirements, and proficiency in using basic inspection tools and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect incoming and production stainless steel products to ensure compliance with food and pharmaceutical industry standards, including ASME BPE specifications (preferred).
- Utilize basic inspection equipment such as calipers, height gauges, profilometers, and other measuring tools.
- Accurately read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and product specifications.
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to ensure products meet required tolerances and surface finish criteria.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of quality checks.
- Identify and report non-conforming materials or processes to relevant teams for corrective action.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Stay updated on industry standards and best practices related to stainless steel products for the food and pharmaceutical industries.
- Willingness to share past experiences to improve our processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certification in quality inspection is a plus).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a quality inspector, preferably with stainless steel products.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in using inspection equipment (calipers, height gauges, profilometers, etc.).
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with ASME BPE and 3-A specifications and other industry standards (preferred).
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Basic computer skills, Outlook, Excel, ERP systems
