Custodian

Job Summary:

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly manufacturing environment. This role supports daily production operations by ensuring all work areas, common spaces, and restrooms meet cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Job Duties:

• Clean and maintain production areas, warehouses, offices, breakrooms, restrooms, and locker rooms
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors; clean spills promptly to prevent safety hazards
• Empty trash, recycling, and industrial waste containers according to facility procedures
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and restock supplies
• Clean windows, walls, doors, and fixtures as needed
• Safely use and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies (e.g., floor scrubbers, pressure washers)
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of chemicals and use of PPE
• Support compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company safety standards
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged equipment to supervisors
• Perform deep-cleaning or special projects as assigned
• Work around operating machinery while maintaining awareness of safety protocols

Qualifications:

• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

• Good written and verbal communication skills
• High school diploma
• Preferred relevant experience

Working Conditions:

• Fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Requires standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
• May involve exposure to noise and varying temperatures.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

Salary: $18-$19.50/hour
